Whilst there is no specific lunchtime base each team is required to make themselves a hot drink. The team must carry the stove, fuel, water and ingredients for this base.

If your team requires an 'Explorer' escort then please let me know in advance of the competition. The Explorer is only there for safety reasons and is not there to assist the team with bases. The Explorer will be able to give 'guidance’ on navigational issues if they feel that the team is navigationally challenged.

The teams will only be marked on their performance on the base. No marks will be awarded for navigation or timeliness.
