Those Scouts taking part should meet at Berkhamsted Sports centre at 6.45pm to allow time for a prompt 7pm start. The event will be finished by 8pm

  • Swimming truncks
  • Goggles
  • A towel
  • A drink / snack for after the races

THE RULES


1. The limit on entries will be one team per troop.
2. No Scout may enter more than one individual event and two relay events and the novelty obstacle race.
3. There will be two age groups a) Junior - under 12.5 b) Senior - under 14.5
4. Any Scout who wishes to start in the water will be allowed to for any race.
5. Points will be awarded for each event only as follows:

1st: 1 2nd: 2 3rd: 3 etc.

If there are more than 5 troops entering then times will be used to work out the placings

6. Team with the lowest score at the end of the gala will be the winners.
7. Each troop is to provide at least two adults. One will be required to look after their team on the pool side, while the other will be required to help with running the event. All adults must have CRB clearance.

8. Certificates will not be awarded for individual events. Certificates will be awarded to the troops positioned 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each trophy. These will be sent to groups after the event.

9. Each team is to supply a stop watch.

10. Please note: Breast stroke swimmers must touch with both hands simultaneously at the end of the race.
Back stroke swimmers must touch at the end of the race on their backs before turning onto

We need 3 Juniors (under 12.5). 1 to do breast stroke, 1 to do back stroke & 1 to do Crawl

We need 3 Seniors (under 14.5). 1 to do breast stroke, 1 to do back stroke & 1 to do Crawl

When booking please specify in the comments field which is you prefered stroke and any others you are ok to do
